Self Priming Solid Color Deck & Siding Stain meets all current regulations for Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs).
SURFACE PREPARATION: All surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dirt, mildew, dust and
other foreign matter. Remove mildew and
contaminants with Superdeck Wood Cleaner.Use Superdeck Wood Stripper to
remove old coatings. Allow surfaces to
dry completely before applying stain. NEW
WOOD: Allow to season 2 to 4 weeks, then clean with Wood Cleaner to remove mill
glaze and open pores of wood. WEATHERED
WOOD: Follow surface preparation directions.
PRODUCT PREPARATION: No thinning is necessary. Product
should be shaken or stirred from bottom of container before and during
application. Intermix all product to
ensure color consistency. Test a small
area first for color satisfaction.
APPLICATION TEMPERATURE: 50ºF.-90ºF.Do not apply if
wood surface is hot to touch or if rain is likely to occur.
APPLICATION METHODS: Brush using a nylon or polyester brush, or roll using a 1/2"-3/4"
synthetic roller cover.If sprayed, use
a .017-.021 fluid tip @1800-2000 psi. Back roll or brush when spraying.
NUMBER OF COATS: Two (2) coats on horizontal and vertical surfaces.Apply evenly avoid applying heavy coats.
APPROXIMATE
SPREAD RATE: New Wood: 350-400 sq. ft.
per gallon; Weathered Wood: 250-300 sq. ft. per gallon.
DRY TIME @
70º F.: 3-4 hours to recoat; 24-48
hours for foot traffic; 30 days before washing.
