| 5800 Series: For Factory-Finishing of Siding | |
SoPro™ (Solid Color Professional Finish) is a highly-durable and flexible formula that provides excellent protection to siding. It offers superior adhesion to fiber cement siding, composite wood and hardboard. SoPro is 100% acrylic latex that is guaranteed not to crack, flake, peel, or blister, even in extreme heat or during freeze and thaw cycles. In addition, it will protect siding from water damage, moisture from snow and ice, UV rays and stains caused by mildew on the coating's surface. SoPro offers a 25-year factory finish warranty.
SoPro contains the highest-quality 100% Acrylic Resin that offers soap-and-water clean-up. It gives unsurpassed beauty and durability in a variety of rich factory-batched colors that ensure correct color matching for every job. Because these high-quality pigments are ground in at the factory, they offer better-quality color retention and color match over typical tint base systems. SoPro dries to a beautiful eggshell sheen.

| 15 Factory-Ready Bases | |
Each SoPro color is achieved from a factory-ground pigment base for
outstanding color retention, superior chalk resistance, better hiding
and more consistent color from batch to batch. No tint requires more than 40 ounces of colorant per five-gallon pail. Base colors are tintable to an additional 102 colors -- tint formulas available by request.

Note: These are the best computer representations of product colors, but the existing surface materials greatly influence the final color of stains and finishes. For best results, always obtain a sample, test a small area and let product to dry to ensure color satisfaction before making your final color selection. Wet stain looks very different from dry stain.

| Application Instructions | |
Machine-Coat Application Method
Board Preparation:
Boards must be dry and free of all contaminates and foreign particles. Boards must be at least 50ºF. and not more than 90ºF. Remove any efflorescence with soap and water, and allow to dry prior to coating. If using a primer, always use a flat primer.
Product Preparation:
Do not thin product. Do not shake product. Stir until completely mixed. To insure color
consistency intermix all gallons being used.
Application:
Optimal results are achieved by appying coating horizontally through a factory prefinish machine. Primed board requires two coats, each coat being at least 4 mils wet. Unprimed board requires three coats, each coat being at least 4 mils wet. Allow at least 2 hours dry time between coats. Solid Color Professional Finish must be dry to the touch before applying additional coats. Allow 15 hours of rack cure time before bundling. Proper cure time will insure a hard, scuff- and mar-resistant coating.
Touch-Ups and Re-Application Method
Where mars, scratches or imperfections result after installation, touch up with a brush. Apply coating to the area and feather it into the surrounding finish. Apply two touch-up coats if the imperfection shows bare board. For complete reapplication, clean the entire surface with a mild cleaner to remove foreign matter, allow 24 hours to dry and then apply coating, using a brush, roller or airless sprayer.
